The inventory system and management sucks at Lowes in Ames. Adelle was absolutely amazing, and this review isnt towards her whatsoever. When they say they have items in stock when they don't makes the store go downhill fast

I love Lowe's. I know where to find everything I need. It's my go-to store. However, I think it is horrible that they often only have self checkout. Many Lowe's purchases are cumbersome. Many customers are older, like me. I went there yesterday and there were two employees standing around the self checkout, while I did the work myself. Lowe's, get checkers back or give us at least 5% for doing the work.

Doug was a great help to us picking out a weed whacker and answering our questions and then the next day finding a replacement bulb for our freezer and the correct gas for said weed whacked. Excellent customer service, Doug. We were happy with each visit.

Wanted to leave a review because I was having issues with a same day delivery order, the order never came and I HAD to go get a UHaul to pickup up the items. Adelle was such an amazing help, helped me get my delivery fee refunded when the third party company was being atrocious. She saved the day!

I recently went to this Lowe’s to make a big purchase. However, the manager-on-duty, Nicki, was unwilling to match the legitimate lower price of a competitor. She was also extremely rude and unhelpful. She further unprofessionally inflamed the situation by telling me that, “If you buy from them (competitor), you might just get a brick in your box.” I previously used to purchase all of my renovation materials from Lowe’s ($80k+). However, I recently switched over to their competitors as a result of Lowe’s subpar service that I experienced over the years. After my shockingly unpleasant experience due to Nicki’s unprofessionalism, I immediately went to a competitor. The competitor happily welcomed my valuable business with a smile. The competitor also happily matched the price on the spot. It’s unfortunate that Lowe’s loses revenue because of incompetent managers like Nicki. If the District Manager has any sense whatsoever, they’ll fire her.
